 As a Cuban, espresso is at the epicenter of our community and culture. It’s what brings the neighbors over on a sunny afternoon excited to share a “Colada”. It’s a gesture of hospitality and an emblem of togetherness. Its brewing aroma tells us its time to pause life and sit together for a moment. Togetherness, unity, community, these are the foundation upon which Coffee by KADA is built. We are humans. And humans need humans. We are a social species who rely on our relationships and community for survival, happiness, joy and experiences that shape who we become and how we move about in the world. Coffee is one of those things that just brings people together. And Coffee by KADA intends to be a place for that. Why? Because I have always loved a place like that.

Coffee by KADA aims to bring the spirit of togetherness to our community in Daytona Beach through the warmth of espresso. By offering my neighbors, my community un Cafecito, I am also extending my friendship and welcoming them to a beautiful piece of Cuban culture, where Espresso and community comes together, to pause life and create a moment of happiness. “It’s not just coffee. It’s a lifestyle.”

Who is KADA?

 Alright, let's talk about KADA. It's a cute story that reflects our passion for coffee and our love for each other. My name is Adalicia, and yes, I understand the struggle of pronouncing it correctly. My husband's name is Keone, and I'm sure you've also stumbled over that one. We are true coffee enthusiasts and have a knack for exploring local coffee shops wherever we go. The ambiance, the sense of community, and that precious moment of pausing life and sipping on a perfect espresso - it's pure bliss.

However, we noticed that our names were often mispronounced when we ordered coffee. So, we decided to create a simple and memorable name to use at cafes – sort of like the iconic celebrity couple names you've heard of. And thus, KADA was born. Combining the first syllables of our names, K for Keone and Ada for Adalicia, we became KADA - our Coffee Date name. It's cute, right? Little did we know that KADA would also face its fair share of mispronunciations. But we fell in love with it and decided to stick with it because it represents us, our unity, and our shared passion for coffee. KADA (Kayda)
